Electrical Department

On behalf of the City of Blakely Electrical Department we welcome you. The City of Blakely has its own electrical distribution system. Since the City owns its own power company, we are able to provide our customers with fast and efficient service.

The City of Blakely is a member of the MEAG Power System. There are 49 cities in the state of Georgia that make up this power company.

The City is very proactive in providing its customer with the most modern and up to date power delivery in the state. The City uses electronic metering, maintains its right of ways, has a pole change out policy, and is always continuing to upgrade the system. Electricity prices in the City are some of the cheapest in the state. We are currently cheaper than the competition in our area. Our customers enjoy some of the lowest outage times in the state.

We hope that when you come to Blakely you will consider our power as your first choice based on service and prices. We always look after our customers and help in any way we can.
