WATER TREATMENT DEPARTMENT

The City of Blakely Water Treatment Department has a very broad list of responsibilities to the customers and the environment. Adam Askew, Department Head, Wilbourn Wade and Rusty Adams not only provide the City of Blakely with a quality supply of drinking water; they also treat the used water that is placed back into the environment.

Drinking water for the City of Blakely is provided by three wells, and the operators treat the water with Chlorine and Fluoride. Sewage water is treated at the Wastewater Treatment Plant located adjacent to the City compound on Plant Street.
